Plugged IN Power

A lamp doesn’t light up when the switch is flipped IF it is not plugged in.

In much the same way, we need a spiritual connection in order to light up. No matter how much our spirit perfectly relates to God, we remain dis-functional until we plug in to that circuit.

Relationship and Connection are NOT the same, as Graham Cook points out in his podcast, “The Brilliant Perspective”.

In human relationships we can be related by blood, but have little or no connection. Although I know my dad, sadly that is not the case for many. Some only know of their dad as a distant ‘seed bearer’ never having met him. Just because you share the blood of that man, doesn’t mean you have any connection with him.

I share the blood of Jesus; and am thus a blood relation. However, that doesn’t mean I KNOW him. I am either connected or not. All of us reborn in Christ are born of God to be CONNECTED. However, the choice is ours to connect or unplug. James 4:8 says, “draw near to God, and He will draw near to you”

I was once offended when someone quoted that to me in prayer. I thought, who are you to tell me that I need to do something MORE in order for God to become ‘closer’. Truth is we can’t make God any closer or farther, but we CAN ignore our spiritual plug lying on the floor NEXT to that electrical outlet. Much like how the earth’s role is to follow it’s path around the sun, and not the sun job to go around the earth, so God is illuminating a crucial paradigm for us in James. YOU return to who and what I designed you to be, and you will be IN ME; PLUGGED IN!
